This research can reveal the mystery of the creation of planetary systems and stellar evolution. Another interesting factor is the variety of planet types discovered. From gas giants to rocky planets, each type has interesting features. Neptune-type planets, for example, can have atmospheres with complex weather patterns. Meanwhile, rocky planets like Proxima Centauri b have the potential to have conditions similar to Earth. The discovery of this new planet also has an impact on basic physics and astrobiology. Understanding how planets formed in our galaxy provides valuable information about the history of the universe. The discovery of planets in the habitable zone increases the possibility of searching for life elsewhere in the universe. One recent study suggests the existence of planets in the TRAPPIST-1 star system, which consists of seven planets, three of which may be in the habitable zone. It is hoped that further research will provide insight into the potential of housing that can support life.
